Outlook Group is proud to announce that we recently updated and expanded our G7 & GMI color management certifications.   These programs validate that Outlook has the required procedures and process controls in place to deliver consistent, accurate color on each and every order.   Outlook Group recognizes the value of these programs to achieve productivity gains & better serve our customers’ objectives for brand color quality and control in all of our product categories - pressure sensitive labels, flexible packaging and paperboard products.

The first certification was the renewal of our Graphic Measures International (GMI) certification for flexo printed flexible packaging materials in September.   This was expanded to include GMI certification for offset litho printed paperboard products in November.   The GMI certification program focuses on five components:

  1. Process control and documentation
  2. Equipment maintenance
  3. Training procedures
  4. Operator capability
  5. Equipment performance

Outlook Group also renewed its G7® Master Qualification, awarded by Idealliance®, a not-for-profit industry group dedicated to guiding print production best practices, specifications, and standards, worldwide.  G7 is Idealliance’s industry-leading set of best practices for achieving gray balance and is the driving force for achieving visual similarity across all print processes. The application of this method enables printers to reproduce a similar visual appearance across all printing types and substrates.

“Consistent quality and repeatable color are so important to our customers,” says Joel Schmidt, Director of Market Development. “Our commitment to the G7 method is just one example of how we’re maximizing our performance and saving our customers time. We recognize the benefits that standardization brings to both our clients and our organization.”
