APPLETON, WIS. — Outlook Group is pleased to announce the purchase of a second MPS EF430 8-color UV press to support continued growth. The EF press max web width is 430 mm which is slightly under 17”, with a multi-laminating capability which includes film laminating, overlam and cold foil applications. Delam-relam capability is also a feature.
The EF platform has proven to be very successful in the North American market as it is a real future proof press platform that will help Outlook Group grow in today’s increasingly dynamic and competitive markets. The team at Outlook is especially excited about the EF’s ability to print extremely thin films while holding a very tight register, along with its operator interface and ease of use.
According to Joel Schmidt, Director of Market Development at Outlook Group, “this new press will contribute to our expansion plans for continued label growth, particularly on PSLite™ thin film labels to support market interest in more sustainable label options that also provide enhanced shelf appeal.”
Brett Peters, Senior Process Engineer at Outlook Group adds “The press will run with a very short web path which will allow us to reduce MR and Run Waste. In addition to running our typical substrates, it will also run film substrates very well and should be capable of running thin unsupported substrates, such as Shrink Sleeves and some more extensible substrates, if needed.“
He continues “We looked at the success of our first machine from the standpoint of production speed, waste reduction and print quality. The opportunity to add a second machine presented itself and we were able to quickly justify this project and move forward.”
